Unit VII of the Regional Public Safety Batallion (RPSB) of Cebu
VII of the Regional Public Safety Batallion (RPSB) of the Philippine National Police in Cebu was one of the participants of Pilmico’s Mahalin Pagkaing Atin Food and Livelihood Expo in Sibonga, Cebu.
Their attendance to the Sibonga leg of Mahalin Pagkaing Atin is motivated by their desire to learn the various livelihood opportunities that Pilmico offers. More importantly, it was a chance for the Police Officers to brush up on micro-financing and animal husbandry which they hope to include in their livelihood programs for out-of-school youth and women in their community. The group shared that previously, they had a number of livelihood programs in their portfolio. But, because they lack the necessary networks and knowledge on sustainable farming, they were not able to sustain the initiative. Attending the Mahalin Pagkaing Atin Food and Livelihood Expo was their first step in creating a valuable program that is sustainable and fit for their community.
True to our vision of being Partners for Growth, Pilmico hopes to connect and help groups such as the RPSB Cebu to realize their objectives and contribute to the development of the community.
