Pilmico transforms Tacloban survivors into backyard farmers
22 May, 2015, Tacloban, LEYTE – Feeds and flour manufacturer Pilmico is continuously sparking up hope for Yolanda survivors here, transforming them into backyard farmers with sustainable livelihood to help them start anew.
Under the Mahalin Pagkaing Atin (MPA) campaign, the Aboitiz food subsidiary distributed egg machines, piglets, and agriposts or feed stocks, initially assisting 11 families in the area where thousands of lives were lost and billions worth of properties were destroyed when the typhoon struck.
