Creating kids’ snacks creatively
Snacking is a major pastime for many kids, and that is not all bad. Nutritious snacking can help your kids control hunger throughout the day, at the same time provide energy and nutrients.
Celebrity guest chef Eugene Raymundo visited Pilmico Research and Training Bakery in Parañaque last June 17 to teach moms some quick, easy and creative snack meals for their little children and keeping the junk food out of the house.
The baking demonstration started with broadening the kids’ menu as well as mixing and matching with Waffle Sandwich and Turon Crumble Bar. Then we got artistic at the same time having fun with Pigs on a Blanket and some Cheese Burger Treasure. At the end of the baking demonstration, we sweeten it up with some Triple Chocolate Cupcake.
Teaching kids make healthy snack choices help set the stage for a lifetime on healthy eating. Don’t be fooled by labeling gimmicks, it’s always good to look after what you’re kids are eating.
