Pilmico holds 3rd annual Junior Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture Congress
Angeles, Pampanga – With the theme “Shaping Leaders, Building the Future”, top graduating Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Fisheries and Agri-Economics students from all over the Philippines gathered recently at Midori Hotel for Pilmico’s Jr. Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture Congress (PJVAC).
The first of its kind in the industry, PJVAC aims to hone the next generation of agri-leaders by equipping them with practical and applied knowledge on animal production, management, and nutrition in the pillars of swine, poultry, and gamefowl.
Now on its third year, PJVAC expanded their pool of delegates to include students taking up Fisheries and Agri-Economics not only to gain a more holistic perspective, but also to complete the excellent roster of PJVAC Alumni who will be Pilmico’s partners in helping address the demands of the agriculture industry in the coming years.
In total, 60 top graduating Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Fisheries and Agri-Economics joined the Congress, besting over 200 applicants nationwide.
Pilmico’s Chief Operating Officer Tristan Aboitiz said:
“You are all here because we believe that you will be future leaders in your chosen fields. Leaders who believe that it is important to drive change for a better world, because it is through that change that we are able to help our customers and end users advance their businesses and grow together with us.”
Apart from lectures on animal husbandry & nutrition, innovation and leadership, delegates also went through team building exercises and team challenges with PJVAC Alumni and Pilmico team members.
